Details
We are looking for passionate and engaged students to join our team of Lead Representatives. Acting as a link between Course Reps, The University and your Students’ Union, Lead Reps are there to make sure that students are able to have their voices heard at all levels of the University.
You will work with senior staff in your faculty on projects and also attend College and Faculty level meetings. You will have an opportunity to directly influence the way the University does things and change the student experience for the better.
Our preferred candidates will be students who have experience being a Course Rep, although this isn't essential. You will need to be a good communicator with a positive approach to solving problems and the ability to quickly understand and evaluate new ideas.
You will need to be a team player, able to build relationships with other students and University staff, as well as being reliable and self-motivated.

Principle purpose of job
- Represent the views of students at the College and Faculty level, and feedback on the outcomes of discussions.
- Build relationships with key staff within the College and Faculty, and provide specific information about student issues and concerns.
- Actively promote student participation in student engagement / quality enhancement activity, commenting critically but constructively on issues related to learning and teaching.

Your responses to the questions should demonstrate how you meet the person specification and your ability to perform the duties outlined. Late submissions are not accepted.
Successful applicants will be invited to submit a self-recorded interview, and may be invited to an additional online interview over Teams.
Royal Birmingham Conservatoire students wishing to put themselves forward for the role of Music or Acting Lead Reps should NOT complete the below form. RBC lead reps are selected via an annual elections process that can be accessed here.
