About Womens Society

Welcome to the Women's Society!

At the BCU Women's Society it is our aim to create a safe space of community for anyone who identifies as a woman at BCU. In our society we have a range of great activities for you to join in over the next academic year like arts and crafts, trips around Birmingham, social meetings with drinks, snacks and much more!

We are a society that is open to suggestions from its members so if you have any ideas for activities, events and trips just contact us and we would love to take them on board!

One of our most exciting prospects over the next year is that the Women’s society also has the opportunity to take the lead on Women’s History Month in March when we can organise events across the BCU campus.

We are a liberation society at BCU which means we are free to join, and we never shut down! So, if you want to make a difference and have a good time with people that have similar interests to you, come along and we would be so happy to welcome you into our society!

We are a Liberation Society!

Our Society is a Liberation Society, which means we never close down, are free to join and are funded by your Students' Union for our events and activities.

This is because we represent a key demographic of Birmingham City University, and are recognised by the National Union of Students as part of their Liberation Campaign.
