We believe the BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) community is stronger together! We develop a programme of events to help BAME students collaborate, and build community bonds. Get in touch to discover what we've got planned, and get involved.
We're funded by your Students' Union to coordinate Black History Month, and work to institutionalise it at your Students' Union. We work closely with our members, and collaboratively with Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, to provide a united front and celebrate Black History. We've even got our own page at bcusu.com/black-history-month. You can get involved to help us develop or plans, or see what we're up to, by getting in touch.
Committee Members 2023/24
Our Society is a Liberation Society, which means we never close down, are free to join and are funded by your Students' Union for our events and activities.
This is because we represent a key demographic of Birmingham City University, and are recognised by the National Union of Students as part of their Liberation Campaign.
