About Paramedic Society (ParaSoc)
Hi! Welcome to BCU’s Paramedic Society’s page. We are the academic society for Paramedic students, for both internal students and trust students. We also welcome other allied health professional students at BCU to join our society.
What will ParaSoc do?
Due to the nature of the course, substantial time is based on placement, and it can be hard to find time to socialise and develop your skills, this is where we come in! The society is all about enhancing your time at BCU, by organising social events and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) events to boost your knowledge and understanding. It’s completely free to join our society, so, why not!?
Can I make a suggestion?
Sure!! We always encourage you to suggest (or raise a concern) with the society. The society is here to make your time at Uni as good as possible, so let us know what we can do to make it better! Email Jack, our Social Inclusion officer at Jack.McKnight@mail.bcu.ac.uk !
Need help with OSCE practice?
OSCE’s eh? Nerves are normal! If you’d like a hand practicing for your OSCE’s then drop us an email, we can organise for one of the ILS or ALS trained students to come to SPACE or the Simbulance room to do demonstrations and help with your scenarios. Email us at parasoc@bcusu.com !
Just need a chat?
Whatever it is. We’re here to help. Email us at parasoc@bcusu.com
