What are the NSVAs?

The National Societies & Volunteering Awards (NSVAs) celebrate the endeavours of students across the UK in higher and further education. This year the NSVAs organisers received over 400 nominations, so our nominees were up against a lot of competition.

Last month, the NSVAs released a longlist of the societies that have made it to the next stage of the awards. BCUSU is pleased to announce that three of our four nominations have made it onto the longlists, these are; SALTSoc, Radiography Society and the Pakistan Society. Here are our nominations in full:

Midwifery Society for The Development Award

The Development Award recognises outstanding development opportunities created through student volunteering and societies.

Speech and Language Therapy Society (SALTSoc) for the Opportunities for All Award

The Opportunities for All Award recognises those that are engaging more students, encouraging wider participation and helping to dismantle barriers.

Radiography Society for The Wellbeing Award

The Wellbeing Award recognises those individuals, societies or projects that have championed student wellbeing.

Pakistan Society for The Collaboration Award

The Collaboration Award recognises those that have worked alongside others to achieve something special.

The NSVAs ceremony will be hosted live online on Wednesday 5th May, 6-8pm, and is free to attend. We encourage you all to join us there and celebrate alongside our societies.
