The Labour Party are launching their manifesto for the 2019 General Election at Birmingham City University, on November 21st.
Today, The Labour Party are launching their manifesto for the 2019 General Election at Birmingham City University, and Birmingham City University Students’ Union urge their students to read ALL party manifestos before they cast their vote on December 12th.
Jeremy Corbyn and his party will present their manifesto at BCU’s City Centre Campus, with a key message of encouraging young students to register to vote before the November 26th deadline. In our ‘Are you registered?’ campaign, your Students' Union also stressed the importance of students signing up to the electoral register and will continue to inform students on reading party manifestos and casting an educated vote.
Students are at the forefront of all BCUSU activities and during this uncertain time it can be challenging for some students to get involved in democratic processes. We have recently launched a digital campaign stressing the importance of our students registering to vote, providing useful resources to help them make an informed decision.
As a student-led organisation it’s positive to have a major political party leader visit our University informing students about their manifesto, the more informed our students can be – the better.
As a charitable organisation we remain impartial and welcome any other political parties to present to our students.
