Are you a dynamic and experienced Project Manager looking to make a meaningful difference on students' lives?

This is an exciting time to join Birmingham City University Students’ Union (BCUSU). We’ve just launched our new Strategy 2024+, and we’re building a brand-new Projects Team to turn our ambitious plans into action. As our Project Manager, you’ll play a central role in shaping how we plan, deliver, and embed projects across the organisation and will define how we work for years to come.

You’ll lead on major cross-organisational initiatives, work closely with elected student officers and university partners, and build a culture of smart, student-focused project delivery. From strategy planning to impact reporting, this role is about influence, ownership, and driving change.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the delivery of organisation-wide strategic projects

  • Developing frameworks for planning, monitoring and reporting

  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the university and student community

  • Driving change and innovation within a student-led, democratic environment

  • Establishing new ways of working for the organisation

What we're looking for:

  • Experience delivering complex cross-organisational projects

  • A collaborative and adaptable approach

  • Someone who can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to what we do

  • A passion for continuous improvement and making a positive impact

  • Experience of working in the charity, voluntary, or education sector is a plus

Why this role matters:

This is your chance to shape how BCUSU delivers its strategy. You’ll be part of something fresh and future-facing, with space to lead, innovate and make lasting change.
