Join this event hosted by Oluwadamilola Iyanda, BCUSU Vice President Equity & Inclusion

Listen to the stories and experiences of senior black figures in our community, including academic leaders, current local MPs and community figures.

Event Agenda (4:00pm - 7:00 pm) 

1. Introduction of Panel (1 hour) 

8-10 guest speakers, each sharing for 6-7.5 minutes. 

Each speaker will briefly introduce themselves by sharing their name, profession, and a quick insight into their career journey. 

2. Alumni Address (5 minutes) 

Brief remarks from a Black graduate

3. Legacy Centre Explanation (5 minutes) 

Overview of the Legacy Centre and its significance 

4. Roundtable Discussion (1 hour) 

Discussion topic example: “What was your childhood like, and how has it shaped you?” 

5. Singing Performance and Refreshments (15 minutes) 

Enjoy a live singing performance and light snacks 

6. Closing Remarks and Transition to Q&A / Networking (5 minutes) 

Closing thanks from Oluwadamilola and an introduction to the Q&A and networking session. 

7. Q&A, Networking, and Photos (30 minutes) 

An opportunity for attendees to ask questions, network, and take photos.
