We are looking for 2 experienced Kitchen supervisors to join our Hospitality team. 

The successful candidates will be working across both our hospitality businesses. We operate a beautifully restored Victorian pub called Eagle & Ball and a Campus Café/bar called The Social Kitchen which is situated at BCU's City South Campus (Edgbaston). Both venues offer an extensive menu which includes freshly made pizzas, pasta dishes and street food. Both outlets are open Monday- Friday with the occasional need to work at the weekend for private hire or University Open Days.

You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of the food, maintaining high operational and quality standards at all times. You will supervise the student staff kitchen assistants and ensure the kitchen adheres to the health & safety guidelines whilst maintaining stock levels and stock quality.

You will be joining a small but effective team, reporting to the outlet Managers and the requirement to be reliable and possess a willingness to work as a team is essential.

Principle purpose of job:

  • To supervise the kitchen to a high standard in the absence of the E&B and SK Manager 
  • To actively and consistently conform with Health & Safety Guidelines and HACCP
  • To maintain agreed stock levels and place food orders

Hours

Full Time, 35 hours a week, permanent contract. 

Probation

3 Months

Holiday

32 days per annum, plus usual bank holidays 

Salary

£21,723 -£23,000 per annum 

Experience

  • Working in commercial kitchen: 3 years (preferred)

  • Supervising in commercial kitchen: 2 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Level 2 food hygiene certificate (preferred)

Work authorisation:

United Kingdom (required)
